Quick Guide
  • Open Management > Finances to compare income and expenses for the current and previous season. Cash pays for infrastructure and staff; sales, donations, tickets and quick animal trades are documented sources.
  • Ticket prices and marketing need feedback checks. Watch Guest Thoughts after price changes and compare a campaign’s seasonal cost with its advertised appeal increase.
  • Loans provide immediate Cash but add interest and repayments. No money-cheat code or exact unlimited-funds toggle is verified here; Sandbox’s configurable Economy is a documented alternative for changing play constraints.

Start with the finance report

Open the comparison

Go to Management > Finances and inspect income and expenses for the current and previous season.

Separate income from spending

Identify which income streams are present and which expenses are growing. Construction outlay and continuing operating costs are different decisions.

Change a specific cause

Consider whether an income opportunity or an avoidable cost is the more relevant action. Review expansion plans and high-running-cost additions before borrowing simply to keep building.

Recheck after the change

Give Cash a chance to recover between major spending periods, then return to the report. A larger zoo is not automatically a more affordable zoo.

Documented Cash flows to inspect
FlowExamples or caution
IncomeShop/restaurant sales, entrance tickets, donations and quick animal trades.
SpendingInfrastructure and staff, alongside the costs shown in the finance report.
Reducing costsLimit planned expansion or review facilities/scenery/rides with high running costs.
Staff wagesLower wages can affect happiness; cost-cutting has a service tradeoff.

Check pricing and viewing points

To change admission prices, open Management or select a Zoo Entrance Gate, then adjust adult and child tickets. Use Guest Thoughts to assess the response. Guests may refuse to enter if they consider the price excessive; a single universal best ticket price is not established by the source.

Donation Bins allow guests to donate toward animals they have recently viewed. The guide links better views with a greater chance and size of donation, so place bins on paths near busy viewing points. Animal appeal and Thriving status can also affect donations. A bin without a useful animal-viewing context is a different proposition from one near a popular view.

Guest purchasing has its own cash limit. The guide says guests arrive with a finite amount, while powered, path-connected ATMs let them withdraw more. Charging an excessive ATM fee can make them unhappy. Treat access and satisfaction as part of income management rather than assuming any fee increase produces a better result.

Compare a loan before taking it

Open the available offers

Go to Management > Finances > Loans. Compare the amount and interest shown for the available providers.

Check the obligation

The guide allows one loan per provider at a time, with seasonal repayments and High, Medium or Low repayment settings. Judge whether your ongoing Cash can support the obligation.

Take only the chosen offer

Use Take Loan on that offer. The borrowed Cash becomes available immediately; the Loans screen records borrowing and repayments.

Review repayment or payoff

Return to the same screen to use Pay off Loan. Interest applies to the remaining balance, so faster repayment or a full payoff reduces the interest applied.

A loan is not income earned by the zoo

Borrowing solves an immediate cash shortage while creating a future payment requirement. It does not establish that a loss-making operation has become sustainable.

Run a documented animal marketing campaign

Open Marketing

Go to Management > Finances > Marketing and choose Start Marketing Campaign.

Compare the listed animals

Read the seasonal campaign cost and the appeal increase shown for each choice. The campaign promotes an individual animal.

Confirm the choice

Select Confirm to start. The Marketing screen then shows active campaigns and marketing costs.

Review the tier and stop option

Return to an active campaign to stop it with Stop or change the tier where accreditation permits. Higher tiers increase both appeal and cost.

Campaigns use Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers, and more slots become available with accreditation. The purpose described by the guide is to increase the promoted animal’s appeal and attract visitors. It does not provide a guaranteed profit calculation, so avoid assuming that the highest tier always pays for itself.

Money cheats and changing the rules

The reviewed sources do not establish a money-cheat code or the exact control for unlimited funds. Do not treat a code from the original game or an unofficial tool as a verified Planet Zoo 2 feature.

The documented alternative is Sandbox setup: choose Default, Creative or Challenge, then use Sandbox Settings to customise Economy and Animal Welfare. That establishes adjustable rules, not a specific unlimited-Cash switch. Check the current menu and choose the constraints you want rather than assuming a preset name answers every money question.
